Although I haven’t started watching the new TV hit craze Scream Queens, I can’t escape all of the
ads that have been floating around. It didn’t take me long to realize that the
costume designer and coordinator took a lot of time carefully constructing each
of the characters wardrobes. The show has a unique style all its own. The girls
from the show wear high fashion straight from the runway; even a layman could
see this was something else.
I became quickly intrigued by the beautiful, but equally outrageous,
fashion that was being featured on the show. After I did some digging, I
realized there was a whole group dedicated to people as interested as I was in
the show’s fashion. They had made a Tumblr page revolving around taking the
outfits from the show called screamqueensfashion.tumblr.com. They found the
individual pieces for sale and the designer who made it. I had struck the Holy
Grail!
In case you haven’t seen the show yet, here is a preview of
some of their most iconic looks. All of these pictures have been taken from the
screamqueensfashion.tumblr.com page and that is where you can find more
examples of the looks from the show.
Emma Roberts who
plays the main character Chanel Oberlin, is wearing a feather bolero made by
Daizy Shely. Ostrich feathers aren’t commonly worn in everyday wear so they
make a huge statement when someone does. This outfit and her pose scream
confidence and prove Chanel Oberlin is a true fashionista.
Abigail Breslin plays
the character Chanel #5. This wonderful floral bodycon dress is from ASOS. The
whole look is spectacular and fun but it this dress that makes it. It is classy,
feminine, and modest which is always a great combination. I love the length of
this dress as well, it would be appropriate for everyday wear. If only I could
afford it however! The website says this dress runs around $100.
This top definitely has
a Barbie aesthetic to it. This puffy quilted hearts crop top is made by Monroe
& Me Candy and Chanel Oberlin is rocking it. No other character could have
pulled this look off like she did. It is clear to see that Chanel loves animal
feathers and fur and doesn’t shy away from pairing this top with an ostrich
feathered skirt.
I will definitely start watching the show because I have
heard great things. Hopefully, the show lives up to its fashion sense!
XOXOXO Stay Fabulous!
